Lorie Bar, M.O.T., O.T.R./L.
Lorie Bar is a dedicated occupational therapist with a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Kansas, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in human biology. With nearly two decades of professional experience, Lorie has honed her skills across a variety of healthcare settings, including skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and acute rehabilitation centers. Driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, Lorie was inspired to pursue occupational therapy by a mentor during her formative years. She has dedicated her career to not only aiding her patients in achieving their highest level of independence but also to continuous personal and professional growth within her field. Lorie is skilled in a broad range of therapeutic techniques, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hand therapy, and upper extremity brace fabrication. She is also preparing to enhance her specialization in hand therapy by sitting for the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) exam soon. Lorie’s clinical approach integrates comprehensive, patient-centered care with an emphasis on functional recovery and pain management. She is particularly passionate about hand therapy, drawn to the specialty by her early experiences in hand and burn unit treatments.
Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, and a long-time resident of Denver, Lorie has recently moved to Flagstaff to be closer to her best friend and to embrace the community here. When she's not at work, Lorie is likely found hiking, snowboarding, or enjoying the outdoors with her beloved dog, Lucy. Lorie is thrilled to be a part of our team and looks forward to bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to the patients at Flagstaff Bone & Joint.
